[AK-VHF] Rover route 9/8/18

I should be leaving Tok o Sept 9 and arrive Palmer by eve. &nbsp;Drive thru Anch and be home Sunday eve. &nbsp;6m/2m ssb and 2m/70m fm.

it's contest time! The Saturday after next (9/8/18) is the last ARRL VHF
contest of the year. The event starts at 1000 local time and ends late
Sunday morning.

I'm going to be doing a rover route similar to what I did during the
June contest. I'll have 6 M, 2 M, 70 cm, and limited 23 cm capability.
Below is a list of my grid squares, operating locations, and on-air
times (all times local):
BP51 - Flattop trailhead: 1000 - 1200
BP41 - Kinkaid park: 1230 - 1330
BP51 - Mt. Baldy trailhead: 1415 - 1545
BP42 - Susitna North: 1715 -1815
BP52 - Parks Hwy: 1845 - 1945
(APRS beaconing will be in use throughout the day.)

Anchorage operators will hear me from the first three sites. (Stations
with beams or high locations will hear me from all sites.) Mat-Su, Eagle
River, and Big Lake stations will hear me from all locations. Soldotna
and Kenai stations will hear me from my first three locations.

(Remember that if we make a contact from one grid square we can work
again for additional points once I get to my next grid, and so on. Tune
in throughout the afternoon and rack up those points!)

Frequencies will be pretty standard:
6 M: 50.125 SSB, 50.525 FM
2 M: 144.2 SSB, 146.52 FM
70 cm: 432.2 SSB, 446 FM
Note: I'll primarily be calling on 146.52 FM, and will QSY to other
bands as needed. Most of my time will be on FM. However, I will have SSB
available for weak signal paths or anyone who just wants extra bragging
points.

Lastly, if anyone else wants to go roving you're more than welcome to
follow along with me. I can mentor you and get you started. Also, "pack
roving" opens up a lot more possibilities than going solo. And it's just
plain FUN!
