Light net, today:
Tom - KA1NVZ started out the net with S8 signals just over the S7
noise level (S4 is normal "quiet band" reading with 26 dB gain of my preamps).
Dale - KL7XJ showed up mid-way and we closed the net at 9:55am after
no reply for late check-in's.

Today, I begin disconnecting and pulling the cables to my 2m-eme
tower in order to take apart the deck on backside of the house. Its
23 years old needs replacement. We are having a 5-foot high rock
retaining wall installed below the gravel pad the house sits on which
will support the new deck (28x12 foot). So I will not have cables to
my 2m array, 900 or 1296 antennas until this is completed (probably
2-3 weeks) which means I will have use of only my 9 dBd, 17-foot
vertical antenna for running the net on 2m.

Possible that I might have help getting the 11-element KLM yagi
brought down from 45-foot on tower-2 and reconnected (I'm no longer
climbing towers).

Big projects are planting lawn on the recently cleared 60x300 foot
western border of our property and doing the deck. Then adding
20-foot of Rohn-45 tower to install two 30-foot long 6m yagi and two
18-foot long 2m yagis at 40-foot plus moving my 6m kW PA & PS out to
this tower.

So I am QRT on all eme bands at present and have only use of
dual-band vertical until projects are finished. My 222 radio was
sent for warranty repair last week. I will be able to run possibly
120-150w on 222 using my amp with the 222 radio when I get it back.

Net will still be held at 9am on Saturday's, but my signal will be at
a lower level, temporarly.
