The net will start at 9am on 144.200 USB.
I will be running four 10-element yagis with 150w.
Last weekend only two check-ins:
Steve - KL3DN was a new check-in from Willow area on road from Hatcher Pass.
Initially running 5w to omni antenna was about S6 but readable.
Normally I point 60 degrees for Anchorage but QRZ.com indicated I
should point 34 for Steve and that did bring up his signal to about
S8. Really remarkable considering he was running low power. Later
in contact he activated his 50w mobile and signals rose to S9, which
was fortunate as my local noise floor rose to S8.
KL6M popped in for a short contact as he was packing for a trip
outside to a Satellite Conference. Maybe we will have a report from
Mike if he is back this weekend(?)
Hope to see many of you tomorrow!
