Pacific NW VHF Society has offered some ideas for working VHF-FM 
during the contest.  Now officially included by the ARRL rules.  May 
offer a way to encourage more activity (especially in the 
Anchorage-Valley area).

AK VHF Up Group supports using 146.58 for conducting contacts if it 
is clear of other activity and/or interference.  I would stress not 
tying up calling frequencies so non-contest users can still have access.
