[AK-VHF] Fwd: NET: tomorrow at 9am -146.58 FM

Giving more thought to this, here is my solution (at least for the summer):

1. I will discontinue running the net on FM except the last Saturday
of the month.
2. I will call for Net participation for first ten minutes (9:00-9:10am).
3. If no one joins the net in that period, I will cease calling and
only monitor the frequency.
4. Anyone can call during the remainder of the hour to call the
net...and assume NC if they wish to.
5. I will announce when I leave the frequency (effectively stopping as NC).

Holding the net on a 2m simplex FM frequency was done to be inclusive
for those who do not have VHF-SSB ability.
Mostly those who do check in the net have SSB so the purpose seems moot.

Therefore in keeping with the purpose and intent of the AK VHF-Up
Group the net is reverting to being mainly a SSB-Net.

I am open to opinions and suggestions. Anyone can volunteer to be Net Control.
