Just a note that we are back home from 12-day trip to lower-48 and
will hold the VHF-Up Net this weekend.
146.52 FM simplex at 9am May 10th. Thanks to KL6M for hosting the
Net while I was gone!

I attended the SVHFS conference in Atlanta, GA two weekends ago and
came home with a feedhorn for 3400-MHz for my dish. That was a nice
score and unexpected. Built by WD5AGO and completely tested; it is
silver-plated copper tubing in the W2IMU design with VE4MA collar for
dishes deeper than mine. I will try it with the collar fully
extended (adjustable with large metal hose clamp). 3400-eme is my
summer-project with Sept. as goal.

I also bought a 150w 432 amp on-line and testing it today. That is
for 432-eme using the dish but for digital modes, only, as not enough
power to do CW. Building a new dual-dipole feed for 432 is also on
the to-do list for this summer.

Immediate work is needed on my dish to resume 1296-eme and repairing
my HVPS for 144-eme. Then getting the 1100w amp set up for 6m is
next priority. I am thinking of removing my 432 satellite antenna
and installing it on my second tower as existing 432 yagi has bad SWR
and out of reach above the tower top. I will be up the tower for
some testing in the nice wx, so hope to have both 222 and 432 preamps
back in service, plus 432 antenna by June ARRL VHF Contest time:
