[AK-VHF] Testing my 222 & 432 bands

Since having some issues on 222 during the VHF Contest, I did some
testing today (on my first weekday of retirement -weekend was taken up by FD).

432 is working fine and the transverter is showing 25w output. The
antenna+preamp+xvtr+K3 hear my test signal pretty good (-33dBm signal
source sitting on the railing of the deck about 80-feet from the antenna).

Testing the 222 system I am seeing about 75w at 222.100 and 55w at
223.50. SWR looks fine and my counter hears the signal well enough
to show frequency about 250-Hz low. But the receiver is deaf. It
takes a 0 dBm signal for it to hear the test signal directly
connected to the transverter. It should be hearing at -107 dBm.

OK so I tested the preamp by using my Yaesu VX6-R and get full
s-meter reading with -33 dBm signal with source sitting on the railing.

So now I wonder if I can use the VX6-R as receiver and transverter
for transmitting? Tried it on the 224.94 repeater and getting full
strength meter signal back on the VX6-R...yeah!

We might give it a test on the Tuesday night net. I should have
50.125 (125w), 144.200 (150w), 146.52 (70w), 223.50 (55w) and 432.200
(25w). Be interesting what can be done between Nikiski and Anchorage.
