Light turn out for the net (summer outside):
KL4E
NL7OW
KL6M

We discussed the June VHF Contest coming next weekend. Craig will be
in NV that weekend so will be missed up here. Tom, NL7OW, and Mike,
KL6M, expect to participate in the contest.

June is the best contest for 6m openings to DX so everyone should
make an effort to operate 6m. 10am-12am is when conditions often
open up; then again 4pm-7pm, so good time to make a few CQ's and
monitor 50.125 MHz.

The Contest kicks off right at the end of the "Alaska VHF-Up Net:
9am-10am. Therefore the net will be started on 144.200 USB but we
can test other bands before the contest starts. See the recommended
operating frequencies on the website:
http://www.qsl.net/ak-vhf/

I made some changes on what I will run in the contest:
50.125-MHz USB 125w to a 3-elem yagi at 14-feet
144.200-MHz USB 150w to 4 10-elem yagis at 52-feet
146.58-MHz FM simplex to either the eme array (above) or a 9-dB vertical.
223.50-MHz FM simplex 100w to two 11-elem yagis at 60-feet
432.100-MHz USB with 24w to an 11-elem yagi at 58-feet
No 900-MHz
1296.100-MHz USB or FM with 6w to a 45-elem loop-yagi at 54-feet.

I will probably monitor 6m with the KX3 full time and use the K3 to
work other bands.

I am not going to rover this time, but may do some eme on 144.116-MHz
on Sunday.
