[AK-VHF] 6m open to BC/WA/OR in contest

Starting about 20:45 AKDST (0442 utc) 6m opened from Alaska to the 
PNW.  It lasted until about 22:45 (0645 utc).

Worked several VE7's and W/K7's tonight on 50.125, mainly.  I did 
call some on 50.130.
Signals on some stations peaked over S9, but most were running S6-7 
with a S4-5 noise floor (due to gain of the preamp).

I won't list calls until the contest is over.  CO70, CN88, CN87, 
CN79, and CN84 were heard.

According to Tom, NL7OW, we can expect a possible opening from about 
10:30 am to noon (AK Local time).  Tom is our local expert on 6m prop.

I alerted Mike, KL6M and Tom was aware of the opening.  Tom reported 
the 50.033 VE7 beacon was heard during this evening's opening.
