Dan,
Be sure to be on 6m this weekend beginning at 1800utc (10am AKDST)
for the CQ VHF Contest as there will be a lot of stations trying to
make contacts on 6m. You are within range to work the WA/BC bunch
much better than those of us further north. You are within ms range
so if you can set up with fsk441 mode on WSJT you may work some on ms.
I will not be set up for digital modes on 6m as I am using my KX3
which does not (yet) have a computer I/F for digital modes. If I get
time I may fix my 6m preamp which I use with my K3 (which is deaf on
6m without a preamp). The K3 is fully capable of working digital modes.
CQ VHF Contest allows self-spotting on prop loggers so this makes it
much easier to let the world know you are there, trying.
