I hope everyone had a good contest.

Working on Saturday ate most of the prime time for me. Murphy was in
grand style with local noise level of S8 that masked all but very
strong signals and then my TR relay was not switching back to
Rx. Result was I switched to my KX3+xvtr+50w PA into my 9-dBd
vertical. Amazingly we heard KL3JI/R very well on the hillside on
2m SSB using the vertical. With only 15-minutes to work the contest
on Saturday only two contacts were made on 2m.

I resumed working 2m at 9am on Sunday and KL7XJ came back to my first
call. We worked on 432.100 SSB and 223.50 FM for some more
multipliers. Receiving Dale was difficult on 432 since only the 222
preamp worked (listening to 432 on a 222 yagi is not
optimum). 223.50 was S9 easy contact on FM. TR relay and local
noise problem were not present on Sunday.

At noon (2100utc) I switched to 2m-eme and made five contacts in five
grids over about 3-hours. I was quite windy both days and I suspect
my azimuth display is off about 15-degrees (which made tracking the
moon harder).

9 contacts in 9 grids with score of 99. I entered as single-op high
power all-band.

In June I will ask time off from work and hopefully add 6m, 33cm and 23cm
