Ed,
I wanted to comment on the Saturday morning net. I was talking
with Craig, KL4E later on repeater. He told me that a local ILRP node
in Eagle
River gives a lot of intermod and no one in the area can check in on 145.20
simplex. This was why he could not check in.
The node is located at Pat, KL3JH QTH in Eagle River. The Alaska
Morning
Net has started to have nets on Saturday mornings. They call them tech
nets. Aviation, Photography, Tech topics, etc. Today was AL2B's annual
Santa Claus net.
I do not know who owns the node the KL3JH is hosting. I believe it
was delivered to him by Russ, WL7LP from North Pole. Pat has been good
about turning it off for the Tuesday Big City Simplex net but it was on
this
today for the Santa Claus net. I do not how easy it is to change but
my suggestion is to move the frequency of the node radio
to a higher one away from 145.20 and maybe free that up for our Net....
After all we were there first!
Just my 2.5 cents worth.
Dale, KL7XJ
