[AK-VHF] CQ VHF Contest Log Submission Deadline Approaches

Thanks for the reminder, Paul. I submitted my log the day after the
contest. I posted a copy of my entry so others would have a guide to
go by. The cabrillo generator that was available on the CQ contest
page initially entered 2012 for the date and I had to manually edit
to 2013. CQ rejected my first submission because of that. Might be fixed now.

Anchorage has logged fifteen days over 70 in a row which is a
record. We are a little shy rainfall this year. August and Sept
usually makes up for that. Nicest summer I have seen in the 34 years up here!

Taking advantage by doing some tower work with the tee-shirt
temps! I assembled a 11-element 2m KLM yagi this evening to be
installed at 45-foot on my tower#2, maybe tomorrow. Wideband antenna
for 2m FM.

I don't miss the 99 degree wx of the LA basin or the 115 degree wx
of the high desert! Summer, here, is like a warm spring day elsewhere!
