Just a reminder that the September ARRL VHF Contest starts at 10am
Saturday, Sept. 8 until 7 pm Sunday, Sept. 9.

We will hold the AK-VHF Net at 9 am on Saturday and start on 146.52
FM, then progress to 144.200 USB and any other bands that members
wish to check before the contest. KL7UW will only be able to operate
until 10:15 on Saturday due to work starting at 11am. I will be QRV
at 9am on Sunday for any who wish contacts for the contest. I can
simultaneous monitor both 144.200 USB and 146.58 FM for the contest
(146.52 is not allowed in the contest). I have no 6m or 33cm for this contest.

KL7UW is temporarily without a 6m antenna and 927.5 MHz is not
installed on the tower so both those bands will not be operated. If
wx cooperates on Wed. I will install my 60w 1296 amp on the tower
which should provide a good signal with the 45-element loop-yagi (20
dBi gain) at 52 feet.

The array is currently lowered for the expected high-winds tonight
and will be raised tomorrow evening if wx is good.

73, Ed - KL7UW
