My plans have shifted a bit due getting sick with "crud" last weekend
and resulting delays:
I will operate Saturday morning at 10am after the Net which will be
begun on 144.200 USB at 9am. If desired, we can test the bands we
will be using including FM frequencies (more on that later this week).
NO 927.5 MHz will run from my home location. I will not have my 100w
PA installed for 927.5 FM simplex so am thinking maybe to go rover
with just 2m (for coord) and 927.5 to a local 400-foot hill where I
made previous contact to the Anchorage Hillside. This is the same
grid as home so no need to haul more than that in the rover.
I am cancelling rover trio to Diamond Ridge as too much to get done
in the little time I have left since I work both Thur and
Fri. Therefore there will be no 10-GHz operation.
Today, I hope to determine if my second 28v-50A PS is functional and
install the 60w 1296 amp on the tower if it is.
Today, I hope to install the 222/432 relay/preamp NEW/improved box on
tower #2 which should enable both those antenna and preamps on both bands.
The new DEMI L432-28 25w transverter is under construction and not
sure if it will be completed in time. The kit was missing critical
chip inductors in the LO section (which I ordered replacements
Monday). I do have a 446.00 FM 5w HT which I may try to use with the
25w amp section of the transverter if it cannot be finished. This
will entail use of high-power attenuators to lower 5w to approx
10-20mw drive for the 25w module.
At this time I am QRV:
6m - 3elem yagi + 125w
2m - four 10elem yagi + 150w
222 - two 11elem yagi + 110w
432 - ??? (5w HT possible with Arrow yagi - rover)
927.5 - 18elem loop-yagi + 13w (rover-only)
1296 - 45elem loop-yagi + 20w (60w???)
June VHF Contest often produces good 6m skip conditions. 6m SSB
stations should monitor 50.125 MHz.
