Due to the cold weather I have modified some of my plans for the
contest. I was planning to lower my eme array and install at 60w
1296 linear amp and install a new 33-element 900-MHz antenna and 100w
linear amp. I decided there was too much risk of mechanical problems
lowering the array, so here is the line up for KL7UW:
50.125-SSB, 125w, 3-elem yagi (55-ft) or fixed 6-elem (20-ft) yagi
pointing SE (az=115); 50.30-FM 125w 3-elem yagi.
144.200-SSB, 150w, four 10-element yagis (52-ft); 146.58-FM 90w four
10-element yagis
223.50-FM, 125w, two 11-element yagis (60-ft)
927.5-FM, 9w, 33-element loop-yagi (15-ft); blew a component in the 100w amp
1296.100-SSB/FM, 20w, 45-element loop-yagi (50-ft)
The Alaska VHF Net will meet at 9am this Saturday on 144.200 USB and
the contest starts at 10am.
