Ken,

WooHoo! That is something I never figured to see was an Alaskan call
or club mentioned in VHF contest stats in QST. And it is all due to
your efforts that has happened. This should encourage all Alaskan
VHFers to try a little harder in the contests.

Ken, would you submit your logs for Jan. 2010 and Jan. 2011 to Paul,
K7CW, who is the contest/awards chairman for the AK VHF-Up
Group. You qualify for an award if you would do that. I would
really like to announce that you are the first recipient of the
"Pathfinder Award" at the Pacific NW VHF Conference this fall. You
will receive a nice certificate, as well.

Any member that has worked five Alaskan grid squares in any VHF or
higher band since Jan. 1, 2009 is eligible for an award, see:
http://www.qsl.net/ak-vhf/ for the link to the rules for awards. I
believe two other Alaskan stations qualified in the Jan. 2011 contest.
