Just a quick announcement that I have received shipment from DEMI
(Downeast Microwave) my 222-MHz transceiver kit. That means that I
will be adding 222 to my VHF bands. I do not expect to start the kit
until after the Fall ARRL EME Contest is complete but may be QRV
around Christmas with two 11-element yagis and 25w.
Eventually, I will also add two 150w PA's, probably in steps up to
300w which will enable a minimum 222-eme station (no elevation).
On Order is also a L432-28 transverter (25w) which will replace my
FT-847 (which is pre-sold to SV1BTR). I ordered it fully assembled
and delivery is expected about November.
The result is the station will (eventually) be: K3 + L144-28HP +
222-28 + L432-28 + TMX915 + 1296-28
with amplifiers: 6m-125w/1100w, 2m-90w/1400w, 222-25w/300w,
432-25w/100w, 927-10w/100w, 1296-25w/60w/300w
The 6m & 2m specs will be of most interest to folks in PNWVHFS
