[AGCW] Fwd: [Radiomarine] Night of Nights IX - Official Announcement

Hallo,

hier nun die ersten Infos zur diesjährigen CW
"Night of Nights (NoN IX)".

Zur Erinnerung: Zum Gedenken an den "12.7.1999", dem Ende des kommerziellen CWs
der US Küstenfunkstellen, senden einige dieser Küstenfunkstellen (auf ihren Frequenzen)
wieder in CW spezielle Ruf-Marker, Grußbotschaften, historische "Telegramme" & -Meldungen 
(Presse, Wetter etc.) sowie Traffic-Lists etc. für Funkamateure und interessierte Hörer 
- zusätzlich werden auch wieder CW QSOs auf den Seefunkbändern durchgeführt
(mit "denen" die dafür lizensiert sind).

Bisher haben die noch aktiven WLO, KLB, NMC, NMF und NOJ neben den üblichen Museumsküstenfunkstellen wie KPH, KFS, KSM  ihre Teilnahme zugesagt.
In den USA wurden diese ja oft nicht demontiert (wie hier leider...grrr), sondern
etliche werden als historische Denkmäler "national heritage" im Rahmen des National Park 
Service (wie die Bärchen von Park Rangern bewacht...hi - KPH ist zum Beispiel 
Teil des "Point Reyes National Seashore"-Nationalparks) erhalten,
und auch auf den Bändern von 600m bis 22 MHz weiterbetrieben!

Vielleicht hat ja der eine oder andere deutsche "Segler" noch eine CW-Lizenz
für seinen "Klipper" und darf selbst auch anrufen? 
Hierzu eine kurze Frage: 
Wie sieht das in DL eigentlich lizenztechnisch aus? Wer darf? Wer kann? 
Gibt es noch Seefunk-CW-KW-Lizenzen (in DL)? 

Auf KW dürfen ja jetzt im Zeichen des "Emailverkehrs über KW" (über KielRadio 
mit seinem weltweiten Global Link Network, SailMail, CruiseEmail, GlobeWireless etc.) 
wohl (fast) alle "Segelböotchen" [auf besonderen Antrag?], alle ausser Jollen auf
Baggerseen?

Die ersten 3 Anbieter zielen ja fast ausschließlich an solche "Pleasure Boats".
Da könnte man dann Rufe von Calls a la DB2345, WCY2345, ZMA2345, 
FG2345, PD2345 in PACTOR-I loggen  [auch die höheren PACTORs rufen ja noch
in -I und senden i.d.R. bei erfolglosen Anrufen ein "de db2345" in PACTOR-I] 
wenn man einen SC Decoder wie MultiPSK oder MixW anwerfen würde...hi.
Während GlobeWireless wohl eher die kommerzielle Klientel bedient.

Aber gelten diese "Jollen"-KW-Lizenzen auch für CW, oder nur für 
automatisierte Betriebsarten, wie "PACTOR" (und ggf. KW-Sprechfunk??) ???
Führt die BNetzA für Seefunk ggf. noch CW-Prüfungen durch?
Also wer darf hier am "NoN IX" auch als Nicht-SWL mitmachen?

Ist ein auch für SWL ein sehr interesantes Event, leider gäbe es hier
aus der europäischen Ecke kaum noch Küstenfunkstellen, die an dieser
Veranstaltung mit CW teilnehmen könnten? Schade! 

Nun ist ja hier fast alles abgebaut, aber für die "MF-Runde" etc. wäre es 
bestimmt auch eine Nummer zu groß, Norddeich Radio zu retten 
bzw. zu er- und unterhalten, aber ggf. DHJ59 (die gibts ja noch) 
zu solchen Events in CW zu aktivieren ;-))  

Analog zu NMN, NOJ - das sind ja auch noch aktive reguläre "Military" 
Stationen, die sich nicht zu schade sind ihre Tasten hierfür zu reaktivieren, 
bzw. durch Hobbyisten reaktivieren zu lassen.
MF-Runde hw? DHJ59 hw?  Just an idea ...hi

At the transmitting station in Bolinas, CA, the MRHS transmitting staff has been busy tuning up vintage transmitters from the 1940s and 1950s, allocating keying lines and connecting antennas for stations KPH, KFS and KSM.  The operations staff is getting the logs in place, preparing commemorative messages and making sure everything at the receiving station at Pt. Reyes, CA, is in order.

Stations WLO, KLB, NMC, NMF and NOJ have all checked in and declared their intention to be on the air.

What's it all about?  Night of Nights IX of course.

On 12 July 1999 commercial Morse ended in the US - or so it was thought.  Just one year - and one minute - later, the Maritime Radio Historical Society had returned KPH to the air.  Every year since KPH has returned to the air to maintain the traditions and preserve the skills of radiomen and radiowomen everywhere.  Their finely honed skills and unquestioned courage in time of peril upon the sea made the profession of radiotelegraph operator one of honor.

Now many other stations have joined KPH on the air.  Each year the marine bands are once again populated with signals as they were during the golden age.

July 12 is drawing near.  And once again ships at sea and listeners around the world will wait with their earphones pressed close to hear those famous call letters rise up out of the static.
