Jim, K0HIP, is not an SK, but has some serious health problems.  Margaret, KC5MCS, passed away a few months ago.  Jim is a long-time CW DX chaser and his proudest accomplishment was making 5BDXCC.  I don’t believe he ever had a tower or beam, and did it all with a multiband vertical.  Being a broadcast engineer, he was able to squeeze every bit of performance out of the vertical.  Margaret was also a mainstay in the ARVARF club, serving as secretary and board member for several years and always having a central role in our hamfest.
