That is nothing less than phenomenal! However, if Rick would QRS to a resonable speed of 37-38wpm, I have no doubt he would have had at least  372!

The SouthWest Ohio DX Association hosts a “DX Dinner” each year at Hamventon.  As part of the program a DX “Stand down” is conducted.  All DXCC holders are asked to stand.  Then, progressively higher numbers of all time DXCC totals are called out…..300, Honor Roll, 340, .….  Those not at or above the threshold sit down.   At the end, the DXer with the highest all time DXCC count is left standing.  Tonight, in a room full of the top DXers, that person was our very own Rick, K5UR, at 371.   

 

It was a cool moment and a reflection of Rick’s commitment in time, development of operator skills, and station building to be able to snag just about every bit of DX that has been on the air for the last 50+ years.
