Great work, Jay.   Wish the local club here had as many activities as you had up there.  I would probably attend if they did.

Thanks Rick!
While I am not involved as an BVRC officer, I do enjoy being a member of the BVRC!  I thought I would add a few thoughts, that may be of interests to some here on our list as well.

I was recently asked at the Russellville Hamfest what is BVRC's secret to success as a ham club?  While we have a huge influx of people in NWA that helps, it is mainly due to "All Hands-On Deck" approach for everyone involved with the club.  It starts at the door when you walk in for a club meeting.  We do our very best not to leave out anyone that is new or visiting the club for the first time!

Yes, we do all the other things that help along the way like, ham radio classes, CW classes, testing after those classes.  Our VE team is growing and we have multiple test sessions every month.  Then every meeting has a program!  There is also an Elmer 101 before the regular club meeting aimed at new hams, but you will find some old timers in there as well.  We expect new hams to become Elmers as well, even if they don't think they are ready to do so!  We also have an excellent club newsletter, that pulls in some folks that will never get to attend a meeting!  The bottom line is, we look for new ways to add new club members to our group while keeping up the interests of the old timers!

Lastly, BVRC does club events all year long.  Check out this link on Facebook.   https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1cAw1C9qm1/
This event just happened last weekend.  There are some great pictures!  Notice the smiles!  I love the one with my Kathy WQ5T and Miss Carla KI5KTE.

In the end, We include them in any way we can!  Hopefully we can get a few more DXers into the ADXA along the way.  BTW, It was great to see the ADXA's annual conference held at BVRC's ALETA building up here last year for the second time in this area!  We have a great meeting facility thanks to ALETA.  The new building is now done and ditto for the parking lot!

BTW, that picture in QST was when the club was around or just below 200 or so?  We are now around or just over 300!  If you take a look around the Facebook page, you will see the same ones that make this club great.  Too many to list here, but they are the same ones that have that "Can Do" attitude over and over again!

Like you mentioned, many of them are also here in the ADXA.  That is super cool!

There is a great article in the May QST, page 13, showcasing the Bella Vista Radio Club (BVRC). Some of our ADXA members are in the BVRC.

Super job! Keep it going.
