Well said, Joel.

It has definitely been a journey from 1971 to today. Those, like many of us, who used “PO Box 88, Moscow” to sometimes waiting “years” to find out if a much needed QSL card would ever arrive to living long enough to watch a live interview from a remote site such as Bouvet.

Even those of us who made a living with sophisticated technology have to step back in amazement that we can see our calls “in the log” either “live streamed” or, heaven forbid, have to wait overnight for the next log upload.

While I had 3Y0 confirmed years ago, it was still a learning experience in making contacts on various bands at various times of day and night. And identified areas I need to improve my station AND personal operating skills….hopefully before my much needed P5 for #340 is miraculously activated!

Congrats to the ADXA members who got an ATNO and/or more band slots.

Stan, K5VR

Here’s the link (below) to the video that Kenny referenced a short while ago. If you haven’t yet watched it, I encourage you to do so.

ADXA folks – It has been a very, very long time since a DXpedition of this magnitude took place. Some of you were not even interested in DX, or maybe not even licensed, when the last one occurred. My point in this is to highlight the prominence of the Arkansas DX Association. Adrian, KO8SCA, is speaking on behalf of the 3Y0K team during this video. For those who attended our 2024 Annual Conference you had the opportunity to meet Adrian, and visit with him, in-person face to face. BIG TIME DX’ers don’t attend just any DX gathering. Adrian chose to come and spend the weekend with us and visit with the ADXA folks because we are a world renowned and HIGHLY RESPECTED DX group. That attracts the BIG DOGS.

You are each to be commended for keeping ADXA one of the most respected DX clubs in the world. Let’s keep it up!!
