I am overwhelmed at the response to my loss.  Melissa had bouts with cancer and heart disease starting about 20 years ago and has not been that active in radio since then.  She had many happy times at ADXA meetings, and enjoyed talking to Norma, Libby, Myrtle, Sharon, and all the great ladies of ADXA.  Even when she didn’t travel much anymore due to arthritis pain and other issues piling up, she sent her legendary pea salad because she knew how much it was appreciated.  She left the DXing to me, but she had many accomplishments in amateur radio.

I have the best support system, and that includes ADXA.  I am so pleased to be considered for Honorary Life Membership.  I’ll be at the hamfest and I’ll get back to jousting in the pileups with all the WSW’s.  DXing has been a constant in my life and I’m not about to quit now.

life will test us, but DX IS!
