I checked this morning and my "Canada"  and "USA" folders in Gmail, almost 100 QSL cards from each.  I checked about half and NONE were asking for a QSL card in return.  It looks to me like that these sites are skimming the hams logbook and emailing a card to everybody they log.  I had several from a few hams that were duplicates as they work me over and over on same band and mode.  So it must be automatic.

This technology is not new, but it is becoming more SPAMMY than useful.  It seems like Canada put out a "notice to hams" to use this service.

I don't think a single one of those I've received for all over the world, are ones that I need.  I'm probably going to set a filter in Gmail to send all of them to a different trash bucket for long term storage, just in case.  I don't want to flag them as SPAM since some recipients might really enjoy getting them.  I'm just not one of them.  It's kinda gotten like eQSL with all the guys just hoping I'll confirm a contact that never happened.  I left eQSL over 4 years ago now.
