ADXA Folks,

You will recall, regarding the announced CE0X operation from San Ambrosia, that I noted I was aware of some communication from the Chilean government that authorization would not be granted. This was information I was privy to through IARU channels from the national member society Radio Club de Chile. That information is now public and you can read this for yourself on their website.

This morning Bernie W3UR, in The Daily DX, noted the information:

CE0X - San Felix and San Ambrosio
The Radio Club of Chile (RCC) clarified that the planned amateur
radio expedition to San Ambrosio Island is not authorized. The
expedition no longer has permission from Subsecretaría de
Telecomunicaciones de Chile (SUBTEL) to use the call sign 3G0XQ,
and it also lacks the required landing and operational permits from
the Chilean Navy. RCC emphasized that these permits are essential
due to the strategic significance of the islands and urged everyone
to comply with established regulations and procedures.
