I think we are fortunate to be part of a group that the leaders are dedicated and very knowledgeable in the hobby and are selflessly giving the time and knowledge to help all of us, Deb and I do know what kind of time and dedication that takes, a heartfelt thanks to all of you and the rest of the group that keeps this fun and interesting.
Deb and I haven’t been on much this week, the last 2 weeks has been an exhaustive time consuming process on getting a closing for a piece of property. Like most things the process should have been mostly straight forward, BUT ….
Anyhow that deal is done!
For the radio portion…well once KI5QQH approves where the house will be built then I can start on 2 low band antenna systems that is sadly laying horizontal, un operative transmitting negative vibes as to why they are still laying on 4x4’s

Thanks Charles.

Being in the policy/political arena of amateur radio is a lot like being in the Mafia…..once you think you’re out, they drag you back in (or you get snuffed out!)

When I stepped away from the ARRL board after 22 years in 2010 after serving four years as ARRL President, I spent the next 10 years just keeping up with things but not directly involved with anything then I was “dragged back in” to the IARU. Thankfully, I wasn’t snuffed out!!!!!  😊

No its not new. I’ve been the IARU Secretary for 5 years, I just didn’t realize I sent the message from my IARU email address instead of my regular email account I normally use. I don’t use it for “regular” email traffic, only IARU business but wasn’t paying attention this morning
