Dawn and I got to see the Aurora for the first time tonight thanks to KG5S.
It was great from about 2 miles north of my house.

Hi Steve,
You beat me to the punch.  Thanks to Mark K5XH, Kathy and I saw our first Northern Lights.  We could see them with the naked eye, but with the phone's camera it was AWESOME!

I didn't try the bands yet, just rag-chewing with some of my buds on 80m and they were all loud.

Going to tune other bands after hitting send.

It was good to see you last weekend.  Enjoyed that very much!  73 de jay/w5jay..

Subject: [ADXA] 6m Aurora / And Visual

A little aurora this evening.  Big geomagnetic storm.  Nice visual aurora off the deck.  Nice red/pink.  Glad its clear and no moon.  Worked a few CW, but no really distant stuff.  11/2135 Local.
