ADXA Folks,
Thanks to everyone who attended this year’s conference. We had 62 registered and 56 who were able to attend, including 26 that traveled in for an overnight stay.
First, our special guest Greg Marco, W6IZT, asked me to pass on the following “Thank you ADXA for your gracious hospitality and friendship over the weekend. ADXA is a great club and it was an honor for me to be invited to be a part of this year’s conference!”. I had some concern about his return flight given the news reports of a lot of delayed and cancelled flights at ATL but he experienced no issues on the return.
I want to especially thank our presenters K5FUV, K5EJ, and N5DX for a great program. A very special thank you to Gregg Harrison, K5GKH who is the administrator of the ALETA facility and hosted our conference. As everyone who attended now knows, it is a great, comfortable facility with outstanding audio/visual capabilities. Thanks to Don K5DB, Dennis W5DM, Sharron KC5SKY, Stephen N5ZE, and the many other folks from northwest Arkansas who jumped in with yeoman service to make the event successful.
Our sponsors and prize donors are amazing. ARRL and especially ARRL Section Manager J Ferguson, N5LKE donated all of the outstanding Handbooks, Antenna Books, Low Band DX’ing, and Ground & Bonding publications, DX Engineering for the gift certificates, and Bernie, W3UR with the Daily DX/Weekly DX for free subscriptions.

Pat W5VY desired to retire as Vice President. He has served ADXA in a number of positions over the years including President. Pat is an incredible asset and helps in so many ways that no one ever sees. He and Sunnye always make sure the little things are taken care of and he keeps me focused (and calm) during the planning and execution of all of our events. THANKS PAT and it’s exciting (and a relief!) to know you will be around to help out so please continue to send your DXCC standings update to Pat so he can update the website. He will also continue to oversee our tax exempt 501c3 status and annual filing.
I have organized and hosted over a hundred events in amateur radio and professionally. Regardless of how well the result there are always things you learn and can tweak for the next event and there are a few things we will review for the next conference. As of now the plan for 2026 is to hold the conference on November 14, 2026 in Little Rock. PLEASE pencil that into your calendar for now and we will keep you posted as things mature.
I’m sure I have forgotten something or someone. If so, I apologize and it was not intentional. Thanks again to everyone for a successful conference.
