Thanks Joel, got him. I have some odd qrm on 160m that appeared recently and hence some problems in RX. It sounds to the ear like power line noise but it is only 160m and 80m is perfectly clean. So perhaps it is far away or something else altogether. I will redesign and relocate my 160m antenna soon, so hopefully that will help some. Otherwise I will need to do some noise hunting.
