The next episode of “Tulsa King” will air tonight and it has me thinking about a hit list.

NO! NO! not the kind of hit list you would prepare to take out your DX nemesis, but a hit list of what you MUST DO to work that new one you really need. I have two directly in my cross hairs (no particular direct connection to a “human hit list”) and it is VU7R and 3Y0K. These will both be new ones on 160 meters for me and VU7R is especially needed as it would be my very last CQ Zone, Zone 22, on 160 meters.

My hit list contains specific items required for my station, including antennas, to be at peak performance to provide the very best possible opportunity to work the DXpedition. I am listening now in the evenings and early morning to verify receive antennas are working correctly, testing and verifying the TX antenna, eliminating every new noise source that appears, and verifying the best possible propagation times and keeping notes on all the details.

So, ADXA Folks, what upcoming DXpeditions are on your most needed list? You do have a personal “most needed list”, don’t you? Review that list NOW, compare it to the DXpeditions coming up in the next four months and then put together a hit list for your station and get it ready, NOW!

Just remember, you can’t “GET IN THERE AND WORK ‘EM” and run with the BIG DOGS if you pee like a puppy.

GO ADXA!!!!
