I have been using the pennant rx antenna on other bands other than 160, and it is still performing well.  Last night, using the pennant on 80, it was an easy copy on 6O3T, even though I didn't have enough "horsepower" for him to hear me.

Apparently there was a bit of a band opening into Europe around midnight last night. With the pennant pointed ENE, pskreporter is showing about 50 stations received from Europe over the last 12 hours.  Of course this does not mean they were workable due to a possibility of just one decode, or occasional decodes. What it does mean is that it is receiving a ton better than the inverted L with a s9+ noise.

A second pennant has been constructed and is just about ready to go. I will be experimenting with end fire and broadside phasing, which is uncharted territory to me. So far, the information I have read says it is so easy a caveman can do it. We will see.

It is coming a flood here. I hope everyone is staying dry. It is days like this that I don't miss work!

Everyone have a great day and good DXing!
