Thanks everyone! I am very excited about this.

The moon was right behind my shack that is close by and made from sheet metal. This can interfere with the radiation pattern of the antenna because it is so close. Furthermore there is still some qrm from the shack on 6m, around 1 to 2 dB. Before this I spent several hours of tracing the origin of the qrm and it turned out to be a switching power supply for one of the usb-c hubs in my shack that was responsible. I wrapped it in metal foil and put all the ferrites I had on the cables leading to it. Before this the qrm was 8 dB or so. It appeared as white broadband noise on the radio. There are still couple of Ethernet birdies that I need to knock down. And there is electric fence that is arcing some 800 ft away from me.  It will be interesting to try to explain to the neighbor what the problem is...

The plan is to move the antenna to the new tower that will - weather permitting - installed at the end of October. Also need to invest in good preamp.

Great catch Jussi!  Probably getting some good ground gain from your 6L at
8m height.

Subject: [ADXA] moon & stars....

Hi,

Just managed to make my 3rd EME contact on 6m, YJ0RS. His signal was here
-30 dB and I was there -25 dB. Now, this would not have been any wonder with
Joel's antenna but mine is just a tiny 6 element LFA yagi without elevation
control and at 8 meter height. First I thought that I would not even try but
then if one does not try then it won't work for sure! I think I will buy a
some lottery tickets today...

ps. His moon was already past 60 degrees elevation and mine was around 8
degrees.
