For those who subscribe to Bernie’s “The Daily DX” you saw his posting of a news release from George, AA7JV, regarding the PY0S op planned for October.

In June at Ham Radio Friedrichshafen, I visited with George and he noted even though the “RIB” provides a significant reduction in on-the-island impact it seems governments always come up with another level of complexity, noting now many are requesting solar power be used as the power source rather than generators. I don’t know if that is the specific situation here but it just shows, as Roseanne Roseannadanna said (recently quoted by K5GO!!), “It always something!”

“The DXpedition efforts to activate St. Peter St. Paul Rocks -- PY0S -- in October 2025, is now on hold due to lack of progress with the Brazilian environmental protection agency (ICMBio) to obtain the last remaining permit.
