So how far back do we want to go in these photos?

That is me facing right yeah that skinny kid still holds the record of being the youngest ham ever to transmit from YV0! (yeah just a 17 year old kid dxing on one of the places that is always in the top most wanted dxcc, right before I came to the USA for college), next to me is YV5RW...

or el junko - dad studio.jpg

or maybe Dad (YV5ENI) should have never let me in the shack as a kid? I mean my wife says that it is his fault for my expensive hobby :)

I had a big Kawasaki in 1970 at UF.  It would rear up and throw you off the seat if you gave it full juice.  How I lived through that I'll never know.  Great bikes.

Ahhh, another passion and dream!  While I didn't get to go that far Dennis, I did have a nice Kawasaki 1000 J model that was turbo charged!  Back then everyone hated turbos, but I was ahead of my time, grin!  Some time you are over here I will share those pictures with you.  73 de jay..

Hi All,
The above jpg came through as a Facebook memory and thought I would share it with my ADXA buds.  I think this picture was also shown at the ARRL Centennial?  BTW, Dig that groovy wood paneling!  That was my late 70s AM setup or one of them.  Later off to the right side there was a Johnson Desk KW (the last one ever built, #652) and a little later Collins KW1 (serial # 10) was behind me.  Back then I could lift most of that gear or at the very least move it around, LOL.

The little Icom R70 receiver was my go-to most of the time, but later I had some Collins 75A4s receivers.  That transmitter on the desk was a rescue Johnson Valiant II.  It was sure pretty when lit up.

See I did have hair back in the day and NO gut!  🙂
