Sometimes we don't know who people really are. A few years ago, I was casually running one of the VHF contests, and I ran across a big signal on 6 meters. I think at the time, 6 was the only VHF band I could operate. After the band faded, and was dead to me, this station kept working people. As I told my radio friends about this, I described it as "the Joel show", I just set there amazed, and later sent an email asking some questions about vhf contesting, because clearly this guy was a just a little bit (lol), better than I was. I quickly got a reply, and found out this guy was not only an amazing contester, but just a good person, to answer the questions of a stranger.

I just took a look at the Dayton Contest University Schedule, and if it were possible I know which of these presentations I would definitely set in on.  Congratulations to W5ZN/Joel for presenting two of my current interests, 160 meter receiving and VHF contesting. In my opinion, there is no other person I would rather hear from about these subjects.

Congratulations Joel for being selected as a presenter on these two subjects.

Pardon the copy and paste of the partial schedule.
