Jon, Chuck, Randy, etc…..this is a special ladder.  It seems to have about .27 db gain over an ordinary ladder in the same place.  It must be working, because it reached out and encabulated VP8LP on FT4 today for a new one.   The 6M antenna looks terrible, but it makes the C-3 up above it look good.

I need VP8 on 10M also, and have worked LP there.  I’ll see what kind of love offering he likes and see if I can get a QSL or verification from him.

I agree.  The ladder should be a permanent fixture.

And proves you don’t need a great big, tall antenna.

Subject: [ADXA] 6M results

I guess I need to give this antenna a name.  It was first pulled out of someone’s junk pile and then I put it up last year as a “temporary” antenna just to have 6M capability.  It’s 12 feet off the ground.

Today’s results - worked VK9DX, ZL7DX, 3D2AG, CE6UFF, and CA6SNT.  I’m happy!

I guess I should move the ladder now - either that or model how it affects the pattern.
