In case some have missed it, the General Release of WSJT-X 2.7.0 is out as of Feb 17. Release candidate (rc8) came out in January and nice to see a new main version.
The final RC8 from January added the WSJT-X Message System.
Appears to be a nice function. Check it out in the RELEASE NOTES. It should be useful, when you look at the full list of canned "general" messages in the Message Creator Window.
Do note, whatever call is in your "DX CALL" window is who is addressed in the transmission. ie, type W and it's sent to W. Type W5 and it's sent to W5. Type full call and that's what is sent by TX6. And it DOES NOT mess with or change the Callsign in your Generated QSO messages TX1-5 (unless you choose to). Check out the LIST of canned messages that popup for the receiving station.
As everyone moves to the new GA
Release, maybe the messaging can help easily get the word to
folks on the WRONG sequence, LOL. Unless they disable their
popups, LOL.
