And I received a 40 year cert today in the mail!  I remember it like yesterday...John Evans took me to the Little Rock Hamfest in 1985.  Larry Price was there representing the ARRL.  I had just passed my novice test a few days earlier and I ended up letting Larry talk me into a lifetime membership.  Sure glad he did.  Oh, and I also bought a Yaesu 2M HT there although it would be a few months before I could use it.  All water under the bridge now....

That's outstanding, Steve!  I knew we were of about the same vintage.  I remember the OZK CW nets, the Field Days when our parents had to drive us to the site....all seems like yesterday!

Honestly, I couldn't remember if I had a lapse in there during some "very lean" money years while newly married and at the UofA.  I knew I had kept it up after going into the USAF, and finally went to LM, but was thinking maybe I had gone "Oops" for a year or so.  But I am glad to the it and the pin.  

But I'm pretty sure I can still only afford a cup of coffee at home!  hihi.
