Too many of my friends on that list. They’ll be missed.

Thanks for sharing, Stan.

I see that Bob, K1TU, is recorded in their SK list. Bob had moved to Arkansas prior to his passing and was an ADXA member.

I thought this might be of general interest to the group.

This was sent to me because AA7JV was adamant that the remote operators on his RIB DXpeditions be contributors to NCDXF.

Dear Fellow DXer:

I’ve been struggling with items for this 2024 end-of-year letter. We have had lots of good DX in 2024.  Activity from many entities with more to come in 2025.  One of the DXpeditions we are working closely with is a return trip to 3Y0/B – Bouvet. We are continuing to work with the team of ops to come up with an acceptable plan and budget.

For 2024 NCDXF funded 19 DXpeditions with over $175,000 in grants resulting in over 1,000,000 QSOs.

Innovation continues with the ongoing refinement of the Radio-in-a-Box (RiB) used successfully on N5J/Jarvis and other locations.

We also continue to have good success supporting youth participation on DXpeditions. We provided funding for 10 youth operators 2024.

Along with good DX this year, we’ve lost many great DXers this year.  This letter is in memory of them.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of every DXer who passed away this year. We apologize if any names have been unintentionally overlooked. We cherish the memory of every DXer who has touched our lives.

NCDXF continues in its mission to fund and support well-organized DXpeditions to desirable DXCC entities.  Another part of our mission is to support the advancement of DXpeditioning skills, technology, and infrastructure.  Your continued support and donations make this possible.

As 2024 comes to an end, please consider a donation to NCDXF.  Visit: http://www.ncdxf.org/pages/contribute.html.  One option for donations is the use of an annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from an IRA in accordance with tax laws and regulations. Another option is participating in our Cycle 25 Fund as part of your estate plan.
