I got the tribander rotating and working but still didn't have antennas for 40 or 6 meters. I spent some time on Monday putting the 40M dipole back up, but decided to tack on a wire for 6 meters. I have used such a "fan dipole" configuration at Field Day for 6 and it worked fine. I didn't want a bunch of ropes coming down from the ends, so I used ladder line for the 6M section and center of the 40M section.
SWR is good on both bands. I worked PX0FF on 40 CW that night, so everything is good. I haven't caught a good opening on 6, but the antenna is up about 45 feet and I expect it to be capable to catching a few new ones on that band. It won't compete with a 5 EL yagi, but it will be OK. I'm going to put up a yagi in the next week or so, but it will be only about 18 feet off the ground. Comparisons will be interesting.
Got PX0FF on 80 using the guy wire vertical but couldn't get him to hear me on 160.
The goal is DXCC on 80 by the end of the year (currently at 92) and a Challenge total of 1600.
