30 m is a great band. Lots of activity and propagation is usually pretty good plus you can get out with a average antenna

I had a good time on 30m last night between 0 and 0230 hours UTC.  Five contacts, three new ones for me.  M0, PA, KL7, OZ, and OM.

I'm new to 30m but am working on DXCC, up to 24 now.
