Congratulations to Keith.   Keith has been in there chasing them even longer than I have!

Maybe KH3 will be back on someday.  I got orders to spend 13 months on Johnston Island in about 1971.  It was KJ6 then and there were several active hams.   It would have been OK but then the orders were changed to Tachikawa, Japan.  I had a good time in Japan, I think I wrote about that before.   Part of the problem with people being allowed on Johnston is probably the huge chemical weapons storage area that was there.

Keith, K5YCM “Yellow Corn Muffin”, has provided updated DXCC Standings information.  Keith has worked an ATNO and now stands at 340/334 Mixed.  Keith listed his remaining six for #1 Honor Roll status: BV9P-Pratas, CE0X-San Felix and San Ambrosia Island, EZ-Turkmenistan, FT8X-Kerguelen Island, KH3-Johnson Island, and ZS8-Prince Edward & Marian Islands.  He has worked ZS8 and is working on that  confirmation.

Of the four Keith has yet to work, three are all in the ClubLog NA Top Ten most wanted.  EZ is number #23 despite having had only one 10M  Propagation Study  activation with 119 Qs  in the past 18 years.  Perhaps, if the low impact  DXpediton to KH5-Palmyra & Jarvis Island with the NCDXF RIBs works well, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will be more inclined to allow DXpedtions to KH3 and other protected spots.

Keith has also bumped his Desoto Challenge total to 2361.

Look on the bright side Keith….you have P5!
