Congratulations to Charles - you’re  catching up!

He has been doing a lot of work to make sure we are ready for the eclipse, which is a BIG DEAL in this area.  Charles has been making sure all the repeaters are ready for the onslaught, and that we have a couple that can be used for local comms.  We are helping the county and city authorities, who are not sure what will happen, but want to be covered for the worst possibilities.  Best case, we will have traffic jams.  I made a brief trip to town today and saw a lot of Texans headed into the area.  We should have clear weather, and other areas have clouds predicted, so that means whatever we would have had, we will have more of it!   Should be interesting.   I’m staying home.

Charles, K5CS, has provided updated DXCC Standing information.  Charles says various things have kept him from having significant “Butt in Chair” time but he is all primed to change all that for the rest of the year.  He has added eleven ATNOs since his last update.  He now stands at 279 Mixed.  Charles also added 164 to his Desoto Challenge total and is now at an even 1200.  He is looking forward to the summer 6M season and hoping to add some new ones on the Magic Band.

Great progress Charles.  Keep the pressure on your Russellville rivals!
