Thanks George for the info.  Very sad to hear this.  The last Skype call I got from Adam was on Dec 2, 2023.  The subject was on release 1.40 and adaptive predistortion, what Icom calls DPD.  I didn't know he was in the hospital.  Like you noticed the absence of him moderating the various lists.  I knew Adam for over 2 decades.  Kathy and I met him a few times while up at Dayton.  One smart cookie!  He and Rob did the Contest University.  Rob is usually the last one on the speaking at CTU.  Adam had some world class test gear that only a few labs had!

Anyway another blow to ham radio community!  I will miss talking to him very much!!

The name/calls may not immediately ring a bell, but he was the voice of ICOM on many forums as he had contacts in Japan for all things ICOM.  He started "rumors" and dispelled so many more about what's going on within ICOM R&D as well as new radio releases.

I realized a month or so back that I wasn't seeing his posts anymore, but didn't make much about it.  He had over 4,000 posts on the IC-7610 group and over 3,800 on the IC-7300 group.  The last ones being in late January.  His history on groups.io goes back to mid 2016.

After several weeks of hospitalization, Adam passed on Friday (3/15/24) at 84 years old.  This was confirmed by Rob Sherwood (NC0B), a great ICOM evaluator of equipment specifications himself with over 1,000 posts on groups.io dating back to 2017.

Attached is a picture of his home lab where he tested out the gear.
