Joel,

Are you rock bound or do you have one of those fancy VFO thingamajigs?   If I can get my sore muscles calmed down enough, I’ll get on and work you with my Drake 2NT and 2-B.  You may have to tune for me, though!

Actually, knowing that a true DX’er never shows weakness, I’ll try to work you regardless of how I feel :).

If you work me, you’ll receive a QSL card of the original design I had as a Novice!

Subject: ADXA 1st Quarter Meeting

Greetings ADXA Folks,

Thank you to those who were able to attend our meeting Saturday. Glenn has the attendance list and I didn’t get a count but the room was packed. I’d guess 30 plus folks attended.

We didn’t have any business to attend to so we moved right in to our program. I do have a couple of items of business to discuss with the board that we possibly will present at the 2nd Quarterly Meeting. Details forthcoming.

H40WA has wrapped up and TY5C is gearing up. They won’t be up to full speed with the entire crew for another week or so. The BIG ANNOUNCEMENT was the upcoming activation of Jarvis Island. That has been a long time coming and I’m convinced the “Rig in Box” (RIB) arrangement played a major role is the USFWS agreeing to allow the activation.

Lots of great things on the air. This week my operating focus will be the annual Novice Rig Roundup https://novicerigroundup.org/. Several ADXA folks are members with an NRR number. If you hear WN5IGF on, give me a call. I could be on the DX-40, DX-60, or the 2NT, straight key or bug! Farthest NRR DX so far was VE7CNF on 15 meters.
