Happy New Year Everyone from The DX Hog...

This year I thought I'd have a little New Years Day fun and see how many DX stations I could work in the first 24 hours of the new year...Being the Hog I thought this was right up my alley...Our party guests finally left around 1:00 am Monday morning so I told my wife goodnight and I got to work...Stayed on till 4:00 (local) ...Got back on yesterday around 9:00 and stayed at it pretty much till the Texas/Washington game went to halftime and my laptop battery gave out which was around 21 hors into my "contest"...My goal was to try and get DXCC in 1 day but I fell a little short...

Final tally was 91 countries and 182 band spots...

My only regret was spending over an hour trying to get 3B9AT on 17m...I guess since I'm already in his log on 17m he would not let me have a dupe for the new year...two different times he sent me a signal report but kicked me out of the stream before I could get my RR73...Oh Well it was still a fun day...Now I'm ready for the next round of new DXPeditions...
