Dennis never give up even if it seems you don't have the gear to be able to work them. FWIW, See page 89 in the January qst. You'll see someone using even a less of a setup than what you were using rig wise and about the same antenna wise. What was funny about that contact is he wasn't using a digital interface of any kind he was laying his mic of his rig by the speaker of his laptop to work me. That was something he did not share in that article.

Congrats to Dennis, Jay, Kathy, Earl, and all who have been in there working 'em! When the sunspots start receding, we will look back fondly on these days, but it still requires the BIC time to get them. I'm proud to be a part of such an active group.

Bring on the next round of DXpeditions, and may their noise levels be better than VU4N experienced! Pat mentioned my 2.7 watts and 48 inch antenna - I suspect I was at least 40 db down from a QRO station with a real antenna. I did work K7BG, though - that was the best DX with that rig.
