I don't know their REASON for 3 phase electric. But it has advantages. If you loose one phase you still have TWO. = At the K5BAT clubhouse we have 3 phase electric. If One phase is dead after a storm we still have 125/208VAC on the other two phases.
Also possible that the price to have 3 phase service installed is the same as a smaller service.
US 3 phase has 125VAC on each phase. The Amplifiers that use A & B phase (or B & C) will run cool & happy on 208VAC.
Bottom line... Sounds like a good thing.

So 4 complete rigs with amplifiers on one table do draw an ampere or two!  Maybe 3 phase is the norm for above-normal loads in India or on the islands.  More power to him, because I need the VU4 bands.

I am primarily a CW operator but in the quest for 1500 Challenge points, I'm going where the DX is and often it is FT8.  I've observed several things over and above my confusion about the different modes of operation.  I've made several DXpedition contacts on the standard frequencies, particularly with T32TT.  I don't know if it is hard to find a dedicated frequency, or if they go there when activity slows down, but several times I've seen stations start calling CQ right on top of them.  I lost a contact with XT2AW this morning due to that (but I kept the BIC and worked him again a few minutes later).   It gets strange when someone covers up one stream of a multi-stream operation.  You are copying the DX, but only part of what he sends.
