Dittos, Joel! I count it a privilege to be one of your “50+ year” friends club! Hard to believe, isn’t it?

And to all the ADXA gang, Linda and I wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Greetings ADXA Folks,

Regardless of our life situation we all have things we are thankful for. Those vary from person to person but we as radio amateurs are a special class. Regardless of what your interests in amateur radio are beyond chasing DX it is the one constant that has impacted our lives as much as anything. I’ve known some of you well over 50 years, dating back to when we were teenagers embarking on a new passion that other classmate’s thought was weird. Radio played a major role in shaping our personality, directed our education, and ultimately our careers.

When life’s struggle complicated our lives we could always walk into the shack, turn on the radio, and enjoy a few moments away from the stress and clear our heads. So, on this Thanksgiving Day among the many things I’m thankful for is amateur radio. I’m thankful for the excitement working a new one brings and I enjoy reading about your pursuits and accomplishments here on our reflector.

Please take a moment today and forget about the world turmoil, politics, and what ever life struggle you may be experiencing and ponder on at least three things you are thankful for.

Then, once your mind is clear, GET IN THERE AND WORK ‘EM!

Kim and I wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving Day!
